We treat her as if we have a spare.

Our planet. The only one conducive to human life. I wouldn’t go into a lengthy discussion about it; as usual, we tend to ignore the signs, mostly the ones who greatly benefit from the abuse and pretend that everything will be okay. Those smart enough to know are dismissed as crying wolf. We were told. As if in the tornado of destruction, we could blindfold ourselves, covering our eyes with colorful paper bills and gagging ourselves from uttering the fear that had been sitting in our throats. […]
