Bob Brown, one of the only good politicians, longtime leader of the Australian Greens and successful protector of Tasmania’s wild Franklin River against damming in the 1980s, is an iconic figure in this country’s mythology.

Jailed multiple times for his activism against forestry and mining interests, ploughing all his resources into protecting nature, Bob’s current focus is Lutruwita’s Takayna (Tasmania’s Tarkine), the oceans, and other wild places. The existing richness and diversity can in no way be replicated by restoration efforts.
