Growing the future: ways forward, together

Before you read the following list, try to write down ten things you know for certain — without any shadow of a doubt. It’s harder than you may think!

Here’s my list:

1. Change is constant
2. We are living in a time of greater change than usual
3. All things end, including you and me (death!); capitalism will end (soon!) too
4. Night follows day (at least on this planet, in this dimension, at this time)
5. Love is of prime importance
6. Nature re-uses stuff
7. Systems of class, capitalism, imperialism, racism, exploitation, oppression and patriarchy have tragic consequences — for all living things
8. We suffer more than is necessary
9. Art is needed
10. Exercise (e.g. walking) helps with back pain — keep moving!
